This 15-week training program is designed to develop strength & power specifically for combat-sport athletes. This program involves 4x gym sessions per week created to supplement your combat-sport training sessions. This template is suitable for a range of different combat sports including striking, grappling and mixed martial arts disciplines. This program is perfect for any combat sport athlete looking to take their game to the next level!
The template is divided into 3 separate 5-week training blocks, each emphasising different qualities:
Block 1 emphasis
- Develop work capacity
- Build muscle mass
Block 2 emphasis
- Build general strength
- Convert strength to power
Block 3 emphasis
- Explosive power development
- Build maximal strength
- Reduce fatigue to peak for competition
This template is semi-customisable, allowing you to select from a range of different exercises which suit your equipment availability, body structure, injury history and personal preferences. Furthermore, you can also implement custom exercises if an exercise is not already included in the template.
This template also allows you track your progress by recording how many reps you perform, and what load you used for each set.
Finally, you can repeat this template multiple times consecutively to peak at specific times of the year!
